Meet your Directors
Doug Speer, Camp Director
We are
pleased to announce
that
Doug Speer
has accepted
the position of
Camp Director
for Camp
Lakota for the 2010 season.
Doug has a great Scouting and
Lakota background. He served
as a unit commissioner at Camp
Lakota this year and has camped
at Camp Lakota for many years.
He became involved in Scouting
as a boy. He was a Cub Scout
and Boy Scout in Van Wert,
Ohio with Pack and Troop 35.
He became involved in Scouting
next as a Cub Scout leader with
his sons, serving as a Den Leader,
Cub Master, and Pack Committee
Chair in Pack 35. He also
served in Boy Scout Troop 35 as
Assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster
and Chartered Organization
Representative. Presently
Doug is also serving as the Hawthorn
District Commissioner.
He is active in Mawat Woakus
OA Lodge and just finished the
outdoor portion of Wood Badge.
Doug, who retired after 30
years with the Van Wert Parks
and Recreation Dept., is married
to Kerry. They have two
sons, Dan and Eric who are both
Scouts. Dan is a veteran Camp
Lakota staffer. Doug’s hobbies
include golf, fishing, wood
working hiking, and backpacking
and he has been a softball
umpire for 30 years.

Janssen Lemley, Program Director
We are
pleased to
a n n o u n c e
that Janssen
W. Lemley
has agreed
to serve as
the Program
Director at Camp Lakota for
2010.
Janssen has been on staff at
Camp Lakota since 2002 and
has served as the Program Director
for the past two summers.
He is an Eagle Scout
from Troop 69 in Celina, Ohio
and is a Vigil Honor member.
He is very active in the Order
of the Arrow, serving on
numerous national training
courses as well as the Ceremony
Team Advisor for Mawat
Woakus Lodge.
Janssen is currently majoring
in Middle Childhood
Education at the University of
Toledo. While at UT, he is involved
with Campus Crusade
for Christ and is employed
with the Office of Residence
Life and the Boys & Girls Club
of Toledo.
